Visit Agios Georgios
The beach of Agios Georgios Argyradon or St. George Argiradon is a wide, sandy beach with shallow blue waters on the south part of Corfu. It is an ideal beach for children, safe and awarded with a Blue Flag. Loungers and umbrellas welcome the guests, as well as a variety of taverns, cafés and hotel accommodation, are available. Agios Georgios Argyradon is not a traditional village with permanent inhabitants but the sandy beach of the village Argyrades of South Corfu. Argyrades is one of those picturesque villages of Corfu’s countryside, where daily life has kept its vibe of the past and time passes by slowly and nostalgically. Three decades ago, the beach was virgin, featuring only waters and sand, and very few locals used to own their houses in the area. Today, it is a cosmopolitan area attracting hundreds of visitors every day.
